Try to name one institution whose name guarantees the outcome. You cannot, because it does not exist. Thousands of centres, hundreds of apps, and not a single brand a professional can walk into with a reasonable expectation of walking out fluent.
The research to build one has existed the whole time. Sixty years of it, published and public. Nobody built on it, because building on it takes years, needs certified trainers who cost real money, and produces no revenue in the first quarter. A grammar book and a rented room produce revenue in the first week.
The Language X was founded in 2017, in New Delhi, to be the institution that did not exist.

Aman Jha
Founder & CEO, The Language X
Aman Jha is an English language educator, researcher and trainer, and the founder of The Language X.
He trained with the British Council and lectured in English at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences before founding the institution in 2017. He is certified by the British Council and the University of Glasgow.
Over ten years in English language teaching, applied linguistics and professional communication, he has trained an unusually wide range of learners: IT and corporate professionals, doctors, educators, school and university students, and first-generation English speakers from marginalised communities. He has personally conducted more than five thousand one-to-one consultations.
His work draws on CEFR-aligned assessment, linguistic analysis and language pedagogy, with a particular interest in the mechanisms of speech production: what happens in the interval between deciding to speak and being heard, and why that interval is longer in a second language. His perspectives have been featured across Indian media, including Republic and The Telegraph.
He is also a British-American folk musician. Voice, rhythm, articulation and performance are the subject of both careers, and each has informed the other.

The scale belongs to someone else.
We assess on a framework maintained by the Council of Europe. A scale an institution writes for itself is not a scale.
Teaching is a qualification.
Every trainer holds a certification issued by an external examining body. Speaking English is not one.
Duration follows distance.
Six to fifteen months, set by the gap between your assessed level and your target.
We say no.
If the assessment says it cannot be done in the time or budget available, we do not enrol you.
No outcome is guaranteed.

Our people
Every trainer is in-house, full-time and certified.
Every trainer at The Language X holds an international teaching certification issued by an external examining body, such as Cambridge English (CELTA), Trinity College London, the British Council, Cert TESOL Canada or Pearson, and a degree in applied linguistics, MA TESOL or English language teaching. Their certifications can be verified with the bodies that issued them.
