Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Academy of Language X Private Limited (“The Language X”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores and protects personal data when you visit thelanguagex.com, submit a form, or enrol in our training. We process personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable Indian law.

What we collect

• Information you give us: your name, phone number, email address, city, current role, organisation, the programme you are interested in, what you want your English to achieve, and your preferred call time.
• Assessment and training records: your CEFR assessment results, training plan, attendance and progress notes, and recordings of consultations or assessments where you have been informed that the session is recorded.
• Payment information: payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not store your card or bank details.
• Technical information: basic data sent by your browser, such as device type, pages visited and approximate location, used to keep the site secure and understand how it is used.

Why we use it

• To respond to your enquiry or application and arrange your consultation and assessment.
• To deliver, plan and measure your training.
• To send you information about your programme, schedule and payments.
• To improve our training and our website.
• To meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations.

We process your data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you submit a form or enrol, and for the legitimate purposes permitted by law. You may withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect processing already carried out.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, such as our payment processor, video-conferencing, email and hosting providers, and only to the extent needed for them to provide their service. We may disclose data where required by law.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and applications that do not lead to enrolment are kept for up to 24 months. Training records are kept for the duration of your programme and up to 5 years afterwards, unless the law requires a different period.

How we protect it

Form submissions are stored in a private location that is not publicly accessible, and access is limited to authorised staff. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.

Your rights

You may ask to access, correct, update or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, or nominate another person to exercise your rights. To do so, email Mail@thelanguagex.com. We will respond within the period required by law.
